JUNE 20TH, 2008 SUMMER OUTING

Directions will be sponsoring our very own version of the 2008 Summer Games. And, unlike our Chinese rivals, our games are guaranteed to be lead-free!

Also, there’s no need for protests, boycotts or attempts to douse the official torch. For one thing, we don’t have a torch. For another, Directions Inc. has had a long-standing hands off Tibet policy. So there’s no reason for not participating in The Games.

Tired of climbing the corporate “ladder ball”? Discovered your croquet skills have “croqued”? Haven’t thrown a beanbag since you tried to hit a painted clown’s mouth at your 5th birthday party? Sworn off bocce ball since you dropped one on your foot?

Not to worry. We have an important task for you at “The Games” — Enthusiastic Spectator.

Laugh, cheer, mock, enjoy! It’s a vital role. Think about it. Without spectators, there would be no need for Lambeau Field, Miller Park, or the Roman Coliseum. So help us make these “Summer Games” a roaring success by, what else, ROARING!

But, if you'd like to test your skills and represent your team, sign up in the lounge by FRIDAY JUNE 6 to play games.
Do you like to tell others what to do? Sign up to judge.
If you just want to relax, please sign up for your food choice and cheer on your favorite team.

Sign up by FRIDAY JUNE 6 to participate in the annual DI summer outing.

P.S.
We also have backup plans for “indoor” games should the weather make it preferable to be inside.

Save the Date JUNE 20TH 2008 SUMMER OUTING

LOOKING FORWARD TO
JUNE 20TH, 2008.
DIRECTIONS' SUMMER OUTING

Get ready for a day of relaxation, food, beverages, music, a bit of competition, and a performance to round off the afternoon of fun.

We will close our office at noon and be excused to leave for Homestead Meadows. Once you arrive, there will be plenty of food and beverages available. Then please sit back and relax in the sun for an hour. There will also be a shaded country-style dining hall for people to cool off from the heat, if needed. A few shaded tables will be provided for those who are not sun worshippers.

Once your food has settled, the 2008 Back Yard games will begin. You will have the option to compete in bocce ball, ladder ball, croquet and the bean bag toss. All are mildly athletic, but that doesn't stop the excitement of displaying your expert skill.

Before our final awards ceremony, there will be surprise entertainment.

More announcements to come with additional details.

PLEASE SIGN UP IN THE DIRECTIONS' KITCHEN IF YOU ARE GOING TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GAMES OR WOULD PREFER TO HELP OUT WITH THE GAMES.

WE ALSO NEED YOU TO SIGN UP FOR YOUR ENTREE´OF CHOICE.
